JET Launches Nationwide Swimsuit Model Search

JET has launched its nationwide model search for the 2008 JET Beauty and JET Brothers swimsuit calendars.   Each year, thousands of men and women from across the country vie for a chance to appear in the much-anticipated calendars. Aspiring models can log onto www.ebonyjet.com for details to submit their bios and photos.

The swimsuit calendars are an extension of the popular Beauty of the Week feature that appears in each issue of JET Magazine.   JET searches coast-to-coast looking for the best of the best in African-American beauty and brawn. A panel sifts through mounds of photos in search of professional and novice models with looks that make people stop and stare.   Twelve women and 12 men between the ages of 18 and 35, from all walks of life, are chosen to grace the tantalizing calendar pages. The deadline for consideration is March 9, 2007.

Don´t miss the 2007 JET Beauty and JET Brothers Calendars - both on sale now for only $9.95 on newsstands, by mail order or at www.ebonyjet.com .

JET Magazine, the No. 1 African-American newsweekly in the world, was first published in November 1951. More than 9 million weekly readers rely on the publication for its timely and relevant reporting from an informed, Black perspective. Its weekly frequency, scope of coverage, audience reach and penetration combine to make it the world´s most widely read, Black-oriented newsweekly. JET Magazine, founded by the late entrepreneur John H. Johnson, is a division of Johnson Publishing Company where Linda Johnson Rice is president and CEO and Eunice W. Johnson is secretary and treasurer.
