Johnson Publishing Company’s Hurricane Katrina Relief and Support
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Johnson Publishing Company (JPC) plans to use our resources through print media to tell the stories of African-Americans affected by this unprecedented devastation. A team of our editors and photographers were sent to New Orleans, Houston’s Astrodome and the cities of Biloxi, Gulfport and Jackson in Mississippi to see first-hand how evacuees were coping in Katrina’s aftermath. The JPC family has been personally affected by this tragedy as we have employees in New Orleans and other regions that have been impacted by the storm. We have encouraged our entire Johnson Publishing Company family to contribute to the Red Cross relief effort. We also invite you to make a donation or volunteer with the Red Cross or any of the charities listed below. Additionally, we have created a national, online prayer list. Visitors to our web sites are invited to add their family and friends, who have been affected, to the list. Please remember those on the list, and all of the victims, in your prayers. Thank you for your support as we strive to do our part in helping the victims recover from this catastrophe. Hurricane Katrina Prayer List
